DVDO Air Featured on Today’s Episode of Tekzilla!
February 16, 2012 – The high definition multimedia interface you might know as HDMI makes it easy to connect our home theater devices while providing pristine audio and sound quality. And the next big thing we’ve been watching limp along is HDMI for wireless.
Now for the DVDO Air, it’s using what they call HDMI WirelessHD technology or WiHD. It operates at an unlicensed 60 GHz band. This technically has a lot more headroom in terms of bandwidth available for moving data. Both of these products have enough to do full 1080p60 video along with up to 5.1 or 7.1 in the case of the DVDO Air.
