TOA Introduces N-8000 SDK

TOA N-8000 SDKTOA is now offering software developers a new tool for the N-8000 Intercom in the form of an SDK (Software Development Kit). With the SDK, a software developer will be able to create and/or interface the N-8000 platform into existing or newly developed software. This is especially helpful for those who would like to incorporate the N-8000 into a 3rd party integration platform. New UL Rated Pendant Speakers

TOA Pendant Speaker

TOA is proud to announce the introduction of the very first UL-Fire & Life Safety-rated Pendent loudspeakers: the PE-304U & PE-604U. Suitable for Background Music as well as General and Emergency Paging, these new models both feature a 5" coax speaker, loaded in an attractive high-impact resin housing with a matching steel mesh grille, which is designed to blend in well with typical suspended lighting fixtures. A 15' reinforced speaker line and two additional 16.4' steel aircraft-cable support wires with Gripple™ locks allow them to be installed in venues with high ceilings and where high-quality sound and a wide range of levels is required. External adjustment allows for 8 Ohm (up 30W for the PE-304 & up to 60W for the PE-604) or 25, 70 & 100V settings. The speakers also feature a split speaker line connecting block and DC-blocking capacitor for use with line supervising amplifier equipment. They carry a UL1480 UUMW Fire & Life-Safety rating for use with Mass Notification & Emergency Signaling equipment. Included is all necessary ceiling mounting hardware and they come with TOAs 5 year audio warranty. Models will be the PE-304BU / PE-304WU & PE-604BU / PE-604WU, They will be available for sale in March 2015.

Tech Tip: How to have an N-8000AF Time Sync to NTP Server

The Ability to synchronize to an NTP Time Server is now possible with the latest N-8000 Programming software ver. 4.1.0 and N-8000AF firmware ver. 4.10. This feature will keep a schools bell schedule on time year after year without ever drifting.

NTP stands for Network Time Protocol, and it is an Internet protocol used to synchronize the clocks of computers to a time reference.

For this to work requires that the N-8000AF can reach the NTP Server on the Internet. There will different ways of doing this but it is important to note the N-8000 system does require static IP addressing.
